In partnership with King County Metro, SeattleFWC26 sponsored free rides on a new waterfront shuttle connecting Seattle Center, Waterfront Park, Pioneer Square, Seattle Stadium, and the Chinatown-International District, along with dedicated free Match Day shuttles during the tournament.

Free Rides, Frequent Connections
Running from May 21, 2026 through September 7, 2026, the Waterfront Shuttle offered free rides every 15 minutes, seven days a week, connecting downtown destinations including Seattle Center, Olympic Sculpture Park, Overlook Walk, and the Chinatown-International District.

Built for Match Days
On each of Seattle's six FIFA World Cup match days, shuttle frequency increased to every 10 minutes, and a separate free Match Day Shuttle ran along Third Avenue between Seattle Stadium and Seattle Center, with an accessible shuttle connecting the International District/Chinatown light rail station to the stadium's dedicated ADA entrance.
A Model for Transit-First Events
SeattleFWC26, alongside the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, Alaska Airlines, Amazon, Boeing, Port of Seattle, Microsoft, University of Washington, and Emerald Queen Casino, contributed more than $100,000 to subsidize free rides — reducing downtown congestion while giving residents and visitors a car-free way to move through the city long after the tournament ends.
